Established in 2011, the Alaska Coalition for Veterans and Military Families (AKCVMF) unites various organizations throughout the state to support service members, veterans, and their families. The Coalition focuses on areas such as behavioral health, employment, legal assistance, and child and youth services. Through initiatives like the Alaska Veterans Emergency Fund, they provide essential support, including food, transportation, and clothing vouchers during times of crisis. AKCVMF also offers continuing education opportunities to service providers, ensuring they are equipped to effectively serve the military and veteran community.
